Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy

R3mix.co operates as a user-generated content (UGC) platform and host for remix contests, challenges, and community releases. Producers, labels, and rights holders use the platform to upload, share, vote on, and distribute audio works.

R3mix does not author, commission, or independently verify ownership of every track, stem, sample, artwork, or third-party asset published through the platform. Content is submitted, hosted, and surfaced at the direction of users and partner organizations.

Stems, acapellas, instrumentals, MIDI files, and reference tracks made available on R3mix may originate from third parties — including labels, artists, contest partners, or other users. Where stems are offered as part of a contest or campaign, R3mix relies on the submitting party's representation that they have the right to distribute those materials.

R3mix does not guarantee the licensing status, chain of title, or ownership of any stem package. Downloading or using stems does not transfer any rights beyond what the original rights holder has expressly granted. Users are solely responsible for confirming that their use of any stem — including remixing, public performance, streaming, or commercial release — is permitted under the applicable license or written agreement.

R3mix disclaims liability for unauthorized, mislabeled, or improperly licensed materials uploaded by third parties.

Remixes, edits, mashups, and bootlegs hosted on R3mix are provided for entertainment, educational, and promotional purposes. They are intended to support emerging producers, surface new talent, and celebrate the culture of remix.

Unless explicitly stated as an official release in partnership with the original rights holder, no remix or bootleg on R3mix is officially sanctioned by the original artist or label. Hosting a remix on R3mix does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with any artist, label, publisher, or brand referenced in the work.

By uploading or distributing content on R3mix, you represent and warrant that you own — or have obtained all necessary licenses, permissions, and clearances for — every element of that content, including underlying compositions, recordings, samples, vocals, artwork, and metadata.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless R3mix, its operators, employees, partners, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of content you upload, distribute, or otherwise make available through the platform.

R3mix respects the intellectual property rights of others and responds to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent international frameworks.

To submit a takedown request, send a written notice to copyright@r3mix.co including:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• A direct URL or sufficient detail to locate the allegedly infringing material on R3mix.
• Your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act on the rights holder's behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a complete and valid notice, R3mix will remove or disable access to the reported material and notify the user who uploaded it. That user may submit a counter-notice if they believe the removal was made in error or misidentification.

Repeat infringer policy.

R3mix maintains a strict repeat-infringer policy. Accounts that are the subject of repeated valid takedown notices will be suspended and, where appropriate, permanently terminated, with associated content removed from the platform.

R3mix is not responsible for user-generated or third-party content uploaded, transmitted, or made available through the platform. The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, R3mix and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including loss of revenue, royalties, data, or goodwill — arising from or related to user-uploaded content, third-party stems, remixes, bootlegs, or any other materials hosted on or distributed through the platform.
